Visions

I started this project on accident in 2023 when making a gift for a romantic partner. The relationship didn’t last, but this idea that came out of it did. It’s been an ongoing journey.

At first I wanted to be a lot more free form in my interpretations of the card, but when I’ve strayed too far away I find the card loses it’s meaning. You’d hope that maybe it would take on a new one, but in the first few cards (while cool and exploratory), I found myself disappointed in the completed pieces. I got busy with life and work, stepping away from the project for a few months before coming back to it again.

When I did, it seemed like something had finally clicked. Though I am nowhere near done, I am undertaking the creation of all 72 tarot cards. This project serves as a catalyst for personal and artistic growth.
